<p>The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance overview of your recruitment activity. It is split into two tabs: <strong>Consultant</strong> (available to all users) and <strong>Management</strong> (available to system administrators only).</p>



<p>You can customise which widgets are shown, their order, and their size by clicking the <strong>Customise</strong> button in the top-right corner of the dashboard.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="customising-your-dashboard" >Customising Your Dashboard</h2>



<p>Click the <strong>Customise</strong> button in the top-right corner to open the configuration panel. From here you can:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Enable or disable widgets</strong> — tick or untick the checkbox next to each widget to show or hide it.</li>



<li><strong>Reorder widgets</strong> — drag and drop widgets to rearrange their position on the dashboard.</li>



<li><strong>Resize widgets</strong> — drag a widget between the half-width and full-width columns to change its size.</li>
</ul>



<p>Some widgets may be marked as <strong>Mandatory</strong> or <strong>Disabled</strong> by a system administrator. Mandatory widgets are always shown and cannot be turned off. Disabled widgets are hidden and cannot be turned on.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="column-configuration" >Column Configuration</h3>



<p>Some table widgets (Priority Vacancies, Upcoming Interviews, My Tasks, Leaderboard) allow you to choose which columns are displayed. Click the column toggle icon on the widget header to select your preferred columns.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="filters" >Filters</h3>



<p>Many widgets include filter dropdowns in their header. Common filters include:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Consultant/Team</strong> — narrow data to a specific consultant or team (management tab only).</li>



<li><strong>Period</strong> — change the date range (e.g. Today, Last 7 Days, Month to Date, Year to Date).</li>



<li><strong>View</strong> — switch between personal and team-wide data.</li>



<li><strong>Credit</strong> — for placements, choose whether to see placements by vacancy consultant, candidate consultant, or both.</li>
</ul>



<p>Your filter selections and widget configuration are saved automatically and will be remembered the next time you visit the dashboard.</p>

<p>Goals are set by a system administrator under <strong>[Settings &gt; System Settings &gt; Goals]</strong>. Progress is calculated automatically based on your activity (e.g. CVs sent, placements made, interviews added) within the goal&#8217;s date range.</p>



<p>Goals can be individual or shared between you and other colleagues.</p>

<p>Only CVs <strong>attached from a candidate&#8217;s record</strong> are counted. CVs sent externally (e.g. Outlook or Gmail) are not included.</p>



<p>Vacancy CVs are sent via <strong>Send CVs</strong> on a vacancy Pipeline screen. All other CVs are counted as speculative.</p>

<p>Keep your priority vacancies close to hand. You can set a vacancy’s priority from the <strong>Overview</strong> screen on the vacancy record.</p>



<p>The table displays <strong>open vacancies,</strong> sorted by priority (or any column). It includes: vacancy title, client, days open, status, priority, number of candidates in the pipeline, and consultant. You can customise which columns are shown and how data is displayed using the <strong>Filters</strong> and <strong>Settings</strong> options.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading" id="status-vs-priority" >Status vs. Priority</h4>



<p><strong>Status</strong> is set automatically by the system based on factors such as how long the vacancy has been open and pipeline activity. For example, a vacancy that has been open for a long time with little pipeline progression may be flagged as Urgent.</p>



<p><strong>Priority</strong> is set manually on the vacancy’s Overview screen, allowing you to control how vacancies are ranked and displayed.</p>

<p>Administrators can control which dashboard widgets are available to consultants on the Consultant Tab. This is managed per permission group under <strong>[Settings &gt; System Settings &gt; Permissions]</strong>.</p>



<p>To configure widget permissions, click on a permission group to expand it and scroll down to the <strong>Dashboard Widgets (Consultant Tab)</strong> section.</p>

<li>Potential revenue is calculated based on the <a href="https://docs.recruitsosimple.com/knowledge-base/fees/">fees</a> that you have entered globally, per client or per vacancy.</li>
<li>If a vacancy has a salary range, the higher amount is used for the revenue calculation.</li>
<li>If a vacancy has more than one position, revenue is multiplied by the number of positions.</li>

<h1 id="exporting-syncing-your-calendar" >Exporting/Syncing Your Calendar</h1>
<h5 id="requires-calendar-feed-enabled-under-my-account" >Requires &#8220;Calendar Feed&#8221; enabled under <a title="My Account" href="https://docs.recruitsosimple.com/knowledge-base/about-you/">My Account</a>.</h5>
<p>You can sync your tasks and interviews with an external calendar. Copy your &#8220;unique calendar feed URL&#8221; at the bottom of the calendar page (see figure 1 below) and add it to your favourite calendar application. The following events will be displayed:</p>
<ul>
<li>Your personal tasks.</li>
<li>All interviews on the system.</li>
</ul>
<p>Entries <strong>older than 30 days</strong> will automatically disappear from the feed. This is because it is an active sync, rather than a download, and actively syncing thousands of old entries would have a detrimental effect on performance.</p>

<p>The following fields are available:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Date</strong> All tasks are exported as &#8220;all day events&#8221; and are based on the &#8220;Due Date&#8221;.</li>
<li><strong>Subject</strong> The subject of the task will be displayed.</li>
<li><strong>Content</strong> The content of the task will be displayed if supported.</li>
</ul>
<h2 id="interviews" >Interviews</h2>
<p>The following fields are available:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Date &amp; Time</strong> The time of the interview will be displayed if supported.</li>
<li><strong>Candidate &amp; Job </strong>The candidate and the job they are interviewing for will be displayed.</li>
<li><strong>Location</strong> The location of the interview will be displayed if supported.</li>
</ul>

<h1 id="importing-syncing-your-calendar" >Importing/Syncing Your Calendar</h1>
<p>See below for instructions on adding the URL to the most common calendar applications:</p>
<h2 id="office-365-outlook-web-app" >Office 365 (Outlook Web App)</h2>
<ol>
<li>Select the Calendar.</li>
<li>Within the Navigation Pane, right-click Other calendars.</li>
<li>Select Open calendar.</li>
<li>Enter the URL in the Internet calendar box, and then select Open.<br />
<h5 id="office-365-refreshes-the-calendar-once-every-24-48-hours" >Office 365 refreshes the calendar once every 24-48 hours.</h5>
</li>
</ol>
<h2 id="gmail-google-apps" >Gmail (Google Apps)</h2>
<ol>
<li>Open the calendar App.</li>
<li>Under the &#8220;Other calendars&#8221; drop down menu, select &#8220;Add by URL&#8221;</li>
<li>Enter the URL, and select “Add Calendar”.<br />
<h5 id="gmail-refreshes-the-calendar-once-every-24-48-hours" >Gmail refreshes the calendar once every 24-48 hours.</h5>
</li>

<h2 id="calendar-for-mac" >Calendar for Mac</h2>
<ol>
<li>Select File &gt; New Calendar Subscription&#8230;</li>
<li>Enter the URL and then click Subscribe.</li>
</ol>
<h2 id="outlook-2011-for-mac" >Outlook 2011 (for Mac)</h2>
<ol>
<li>Click on the calendar section of Outlook.</li>
<li>Add a new calendar (sometimes called a folder) from the &#8216;Organise&#8217; tab.</li>
<li>Rename the folder as RSS (or similar) for easy identification.</li>
<li>Download your calendar.ics file by pasting your calendar URL into your web browser&#8217;s address bar.</li>
<li>Drag and drop your calendar.ics file out of your downloads folder and onto your Outlook calendar folder.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you&#8217;re using an <strong>Exchange Server</strong>, you can sync your calendar feed as follows:</p>
<ol>
<li>Login to Outlook Web Access.</li>
<li>Go to &#8216;Calendar&#8217;.</li>
<li>Right click &#8216;My Calendars&#8217;, then left-click &#8216;Add Calendars&#8217;.</li>
<li>Paste in your calendar URL to the &#8216;.ics&#8217; feed.</li>
</ol>
<h2 id="outlook-2010" >Outlook 2010</h2>
<ol>
<li>In Outlook, click on Calendar in the bottom left.</li>
<li>Along the top, click on Open Calendar.</li>
<li>On the submenu that opens, choose From Internet.</li>
<li>Enter the URL and then click OK.</li>
<li>When prompted to Add this Internet Calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates, choose Yes.</li>

<li>Tasks can be assigned to a maximum of 10 records (candidate, contact, client or vacancy). Icons are used to identify which record types the tasks are assigned to.</li>

<li>Reminder date and time.</li>

<li>Tick the checkbox to reveal additional options to set a date and time for your reminder.</li>
<li>When choosing a start date, the due date and reminder date will adjust themselves so that they are never in the past. The calendar will use the due date when displaying tasks.</li>
<li>Assign ownership to another user. You will be shown under &#8216;Created by&#8217; on the main task list [Dashboard &gt; Tasks]</li>
<li>The task can be assigned to up to 10 candidate, client, contact or vacancy records. The task will then be viewable from each record&#8217;s overview screen.</li>
</ol>
<h2 id="task-visibility" >Task Visibility</h2>
<p>Administrators will be able to view the tasks of any consultant in the system. By default Standard Users will only be able to see tasks that they have created or own. This permission can be changed from [System Settings &gt; Groups] by checking, &#8220;Dashboard &gt; View All Consultants&#8217; Tasks&#8221;.</p>
<h2 id="deleting-tasks" >Deleting tasks</h2>
<p>You can bulk delete tasks from [Dashboard &gt; Tasks].</p>
