Candidate, Client, Contact and Vacancy records all have a Details screen. The contents and options set on the details screen are searchable. A vacancy’s details screen contains, and can be used to update, the following information:
Vacancy details
- Client (this can’t be changed once the vacancy has been created).
- The Client Ref is optional and may be used for your own purposes [1]
- Start date, cut off date, work hours. [3]
- Choose the location from one of the client’s sites. This is used as the location when sharing a vacancy via the website integration module.
- Additional Information including holiday entitlement and salary. [4]
- Job Description [5]
- Private – The job description that can only be seen inside Recruit So Simple.
- Website – This description will be viewable on your website (and any other places you’ve shared it). You can style this using the built-in editor.
- Notes (for any additional information).
Job Title
- This is a required field. [2]

Fees
- If you’ve set up your standard fees in System Settings, or individual fees for a client, you’ll see them appear here. If you want to set individual fees for this vacancy only, you can either edit an existing fee, or add a new one here. [7]
Other Details
- You can manually close a vacancy by settings its Status [8].
